Young Men Encouraged to Seek Positive and Innovative Paths to Success

Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis – Male students from the Maude Cross Preparatory school were among several Caribbean youth who benefited from an all-male virtual empowerment session in which male Senior Executives of International Game Technology (IGT) and partners shared insights on personal and professional development.

Regional Students to Benefit from Free E-Learning Courses

LONDON, UK – The London-based Commonwealth Secretariat, Friday announced it had entered into a partnership with global digital skills provider, Simplilearn, providing more than 2,000 free e-learning courses to young learners in the Caribbean, giving them access to crucial digital economy skills.

MDCPS Student Services Department Tapped to Provide Crisis Response After Uvalde Incident

In the horrific aftermath of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Tx. on May 24, where 19 young students and two educators were fatally shot by a disgruntled former student, one of the crisis responders tapped to help in dealing with the trauma of such a crisis was Frank Zenere. Zenere is a school psychologist and district coordinator of the Student Services/Crisis Management Program at Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Miami Dade College Professor Receives Silver Musgrave Medal in Literature

Miami, FL – Retired Miami Dade College (MDC) professor and alumnus Geoffrey Philp was recently awarded a Silver Musgrave Medal in Literature by the Institute of Jamaica at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. Awarded annually in recognition of excellence in art, science and literature, the Musgrave Medal is named in memory of Sir Anthony Musgrave, the founder of the Institute and the former Governor of Jamaica.
