Honduras Wants Summit on Haiti

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras – Honduran President, Xiomara Castro, says she will convene a summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) to seek an urgent and solidarity-based solution to the crisis in Haiti, where criminal gangs have been seeking to overthrow the government.

Jamaican Opposition Hits Government’s “Vote Buying Scheme”

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The main opposition People’s National Party (PNP) Tuesday brushed aside as a a “run-with-it, “vote buying scheme”, the promises, including a reduction in the General Consumption Tax (GCT) on electricity as well as a write-off for some National Water Commission (NWC) customers announced by Prime Minister Andre Holness on Sunday.
