Carol City Middle School Receives Innovative Space Media Center

Carol City Middle School is the latest Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) campus to receive a new, technology-rich media center as part of the District’s Middle School Redesign (MSR) initiative. A ribbon-cutting ceremony held this morning unveiled the school’s new virtual reality (VR) equipment, Promethean board, robotics section and more than a dozen computer stations.

Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Announces F1 in Schools Program and a Business Summit for Miami Gardens Restaurants

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida – South Florida Motorsports (SFM), the organizers of the Formula 1® Miami Grand Prix, have announced a series of initiatives designed to drive youth education and business development in Miami Gardens. SFM recently launched the F1 in Schools program at the City of Miami Gardens’ Bunche Park STEM Center and will host a Business Summit for Miami Gardens restaurants at Hard Rock Stadium on November 16, 2021. The first ever F1 Miami Grand Prix will be held on May 6-8, 2022.

Caribbean Nationals Receive Tourism Scholarships

MIAMI, Florida - The recently announced professional development program for Caribbean hospitality professionals, launched by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Education Foundation (CHTAEF) and Les Roches, the hospitality management institution, has named two dozen Caribbean scholarship recipients.

OECS Launches ILearn Across the Sub-Region

CASTRIES, St. Lucia – The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Friday announced it had launched a new platform that will provide digital access to the latest in online educational tools for its member states across the sub-region.

Miami Dade College to Offer Property Management Certificate Program

Miami, Florida – The acclaimed School of Continuing Education and Professional Development at Miami Dade College (MDC) has partnered with Career Source of South Florida and the Related Urban Development Group to offer a Property Management Certificate program for residents of Liberty Square and Lincoln Gardens. Participants can obtain licensing and employment in the field of property management. Classes being this month and will have open enrollment opportunities year-round.

Miami Dade College to Receive TD Bank Grant for Scholarships to Increase Minorities and Women in Tesla START Program

Miami, Florida – Miami Dade College (MDC) was recently awarded a $25,000 grant from TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank®, to increase the number of women and minority students in the Tesla START program, an intensive 16-week electric vehicle service training program designed to provide students with the skills for a successful career as electrical vehicle technician.
