S Hotel Rated Number One All-Inclusive Caribbean Resort

KINGSTON, Jamaica –  A hotel based in the western city of Montego Bay – S Hotel,  has been rated as the number one All-Inclusive Caribbean Resort by travel experts and according to Tourism Minister, Edmund Bartlett, this is another  feather in Jamaica’s cap as a premier tourist destination.

sPhotelHe said the fact that the ranking came from the reputable and internationally acclaimed USA TODAY’s Reader’s Choice Awards, makes the honour even more special.

“USA TODAY is one of the largest and most prestigious newspapers in the United States. If they say you are the real deal, then it simply means you are on top of your game. The Readers’ Choice Awards have been widely acclaimed, and consistently select only the best in global tourism. [I] really want to big up the entire team at the S Hotel for this major accomplishment, which is another massive boost for Jamaica’s tourism sector,”  Bartlett said.

“Also, and this cannot in [anyway] be discounted… the hotel was ranked the number one resort in the Caribbean and Central America and an impressive 16th globally on the Conde Nast 2023 Best Hotels in the World Readers’ Choice Awards. This is huge and must be celebrated. This is a big win for the S Hotel and, by extension, Jamaica,” he added.

The S Hotel is a Jamaican-owned, managed, and staffed resort, located on the famous Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, formerly the Hip Strip, in Montego Bay.

Opened in 2019, the relatively new property is the only luxury resort located on the famed Doctor’s Cave Beach.

It caters to clients 16 years and older, and offers an array of culinary options, wellness amenities, guest experiences and local excursions.

A member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection, S Hotel, among other things,  features bars, a 24-hour chic café, pool, sky-high suites, a variety of restaurants featuring authentic Jamaican and international cuisine.

“It is an impressive ranking for a hotel that opened in 2019, a year before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. S Hotel is Jamaican in every sense, and they are known to be very meticulous in their operations. It is good to see Jamaica’s higher-end resorts getting this attention; the emphasis on Jamaican culture, first-rate service and that family feeling is gaining a lot of traction. Kudos to the phenomenal team there for continually striving for perfection,” Bartlett said.

USA TODAY’s Readers’ Choice, in commenting on the resort’s number one ranking amongst the world’s best said: “S Hotel is an all-inclusive luxury boutique hotel that overlooks Doctor’s Cave Beach in Montego Bay. In addition to serving up authentic Jamaican flavours, as part of the dining options, the experience also includes touches like a daily yoga class and an espresso bar.”
