The five-year-old rates an extraordinary 98 percent according to C.R.I. analysis, the highest figure we've recorded all year and by far the strongest selection on the eight-race card. With Raddeish Roman in the irons from the rail for champion trainer Anthony Nunes, everything aligns for a dominant performance.

BATTLE ANGEL comes into Race 3 off a third-place finish to Matuso, beaten seven lengths after chasing two furlongs out. The form suggests a horse who needed the run. Fitter today with the Roman-Nunes combination from post 1, this one should prove hard to beat in the $820,000 Optional Claiming event at five and a half furlongs.

BROMPTON ALEX (90.1%) emerges as the only serious danger, giving this race two horses above 90 percent, exceptional depth for an exacta.

ST. CATHERINE CUP HEADLINES CARD

The St. Catherine Cup takes centre stage as the richest race of the day at $1.25 million.

A quality field of US imports lines up for the six-furlong Overnight Allowance feature, with WALL STREET TRADER (74.1%) getting the nod over CHAMPION BUBBLER (69.3%). Both carry Expert Pick designation, making this a race to box rather than single.

WALL STREET TRADER has been unfancied in recent starts but the model sees significant improvement today. CHAMPION BUBBLER comes in fitter off a five-length second to Zulu Warrior. MARK MY IDENTITY (67.8%) and NAUTICAL STAR (67.7%) add further depth, four horses within seven points makes this the most competitive race on the card.

Anthony Nunes saddles three in the feature: DIVINE FORCE, INSPIRE FORCE, and NAUTICAL STAR, plus MAJOR DANGER. The champion trainer clearly means business.

SUBRATIE HOLDS ACES IN RACE 7

Gary Subratie sends out a powerful one-two punch in the Restricted Allowance Four at five and a half furlongs.

MARGARITA (82.6%) and RALPH'S TREASURE (77.7%) both carry Expert Pick designation, the only race on the card where one trainer holds both top selections. The exacta looks locked up. The question is which way round.

MARGARITA gets the call after a close second to Big Buzz, finishing just three-quarters of a length behind. RALPH'S TREASURE ran fifth in the same race, beaten two lengths. Dawkins rides the top pick; Richardson takes the second string.

LION OF EKATI BRINGS CLASS TO OPENER

The opening race at 12:30 PM features a sixteen-horse field over seven and a half furlongs, and LION OF EKATI (82.2%) brings dominant form.

The US import has won five of his last six races, most recently beating Great Trick by four lengths. The wide draw from post 15 is the only concern, but class has a way of overcoming trip disadvantages. Rohan Lewis maintains the ride for O. Chin.

ALWAYS WRIGHT (58.6%) and NALA'S BUSHMAN (57.0%) are the main dangers, though both sit nearly 25 points below the top pick.

SPREAD RACES - BOX OR AVOID

Race 6 carries two Expert Picks separated by just two-tenths of a percent.
