Prime Minister Henry Hoping 2024 Will Provide Opportunities to Overcome Haiti’s Challenges

PORT AU PRINCE, Haiti – President Ariel Henry has told the diplomatic community here that the French-speaking Caribbean Community (CARICOM) country in 2024 will seek to “overcome the challenges that remain” .

The United Nations Security Council has approved on his request and the multi-national force led by Kenya and involving military and law enforcement personnel from several CARICOM countries are due to begin their tour of duty early next year.

Speaking to the diplomats as well as representatives from the private sector and the media , Henry said “”I would like, on behalf of my government, to reaffirm our commitment to peace, stability and progress,” adding “we are aware that our future depends on our ability to work together.

“In this new year ahead, we must continue to work together to strengthen the private sector-led economy, improve governance and promote stability. The government is determined to implement structural reforms that will promote a climate favorable to investments, job creation and prosperity for all.

“In 2024, we must still struggle to overcome the challenges that remain. ogether we can build a better future for all.”

He took the opportunity to wish everyone “a peaceful and perhaps joyful end to the year, as well as in a few days, a start to the year full of achievements and hope.

“May we together write the pages of a bright future for our country,” Henry added.
