Mike Bloomberg today announced $40 million in TV ads running statewide through Election Day across Florida markets. Independence USA’s ads, beginning Tuesday, September 29, are geared towards both persuasion and mobilization in support of Vice President Joe Biden in defeating Donald Trump.
“This fall, the path to the presidency goes through Florida – and with mail-in ballots going out this week, voters will soon start deciding who gets its 29 electoral votes,” said Mike Bloomberg. “That’s why we’re doing everything in our power to tell the story of Donald Trump’s failed presidency and why we need Joe Biden as the next president of the United States. The more that voters in Florida get engaged, the more likely Biden is to win – and we’re going to work to make sure that happens.”
The TV ads will focus on key issues facing Floridians every day, including Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic, Trump's numerous attempts to repeal the ACA, and Biden's economic plan that will lift middle class families. Airing daily for five weeks in all ten Florida markets, IUSA’s ads will include general market broadcast and cable TV.
This is part of Mike Bloomberg’s commitment to spend $100 million in Florida to support Vice President Joe Biden in defeating Donald Trump through Independence USA as well as other Democratic groups. In the last nine days alone, Mike Bloomberg has supported $13.4 million in TV, radio and digital advertising in partnership with Priorities USA Action and Latino Victory Fund, in both Spanish and English.
