The Bahamas Environment Minister Vaughn Miller Has Died

NASSAU, Bahamas – The Government of The Bahamas has confirmed the passing of Minister of Environment and Natural Resources and Golden Isles Member of Parliament, Vaughn Miller.

millerdVaughn MillerMiller, who recently announced that he would not be seeking reelection in the 2026, was remembered for his dedication to national service.

In an official statement, the government noted that his contributions “inside and outside of Parliament reflected his deep love for The Bahamas and his determination to improve the lives of Bahamians.” It also extended condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and constituents, adding, “The Government of The Bahamas thanks them for sharing him with our nation in service.”

No further details surrounding his death have been released.

Miller entered frontline politics in 2017 as the Free National Movement’s (FNM) candidate for Golden Isles before later parting ways with the party.

On Sunday, FNM Leader Michael Pintard said he and his wife were “heartbroken” by the news, describing Miller as “a man of faith, a devoted husband, and a decent family man whose love for his country was evident in his words and works.”
