North Miami, FL – Miami Heat NBA Champion, Hall of Famer, and Philanthropist Alonzo Mourning will join the City of North Miami as the grand marshal of the 47 Annual WinterNational Thanksgiving Day Parade, Thursday, November 24, 2022. The parade begins at 10AM on Thanksgiving morning along NE 125 ST between NE 6 Ave and NE 12Ave in the heart of downtown North Miami.
Miami Heat NBA Champion, Hall of Famer, and Philanthropist Alonzo MourningParade Grand Marshal Alonzo Mourning will lead a processional of decorative floats, marching bands, entertainers, and community groups as the holiday season kicks off with a guest appearance from Santa during the parade. The parade co-hosts are local long-time radio personalities Julie Guy of Lite FM and Ivy “Unleashed” of Power96.
Alonzo Mourning, also known as “Zo,” has ties to the North Miami area through the Alonzo and Tracy Mourning Sr. High Biscayne Bay Campus (ATM) and continues to make an impact through his Overtown Youth Center and other community partnerships within the South Florida region and beyond.
