New Short Film Imagines an America Where Roe V. Wade is Overturned

LOS ANGELES – With states recently passing abortion bans, the new short film “It Happened One Night” gives a realistic depiction of what the future of America will be if state legislators continue to follow suit.  The short, showcased at the Global Women in Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival, examines an America that has overthrown Roe v. Wade and has turned a blind eye to sexual assault victims.   

Art and History Exhibition Celebrating National Caribbean-American Heritage Month Arrives in Fort Lauderdale June 1- 29

Miami Music Project To Received $30,000 From The National Endownment For The Arts

MIAMI, FL — National Endowment for the Arts Acting Chairman Mary Anne Carter has approved more than $80 million in grants as part of the Arts Endowment’s second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2019! Included in this announcement is an Art Works grant of $30,000 to Miami Music Project to support staff salaries and teaching artist fees for the Children's Orchestras, a free after-school instrumental music program for students in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Art Works is the Arts Endowment’s principal grantmaking program. The agency received 1,592 Art Works applications for this round of grantmaking, and will award 977 grants in this category.

Miami, FL — Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) is pleased to announce the lineup for CURRENTS, the museum’s first-ever quarterly audio-visual immersive cultural experience in celebration of its 35th anniversary. Presented by Miami creative agency DEFY, the series kicked off onMarch 21 with Latinx psychedelic band Inner Wave, and will feature indie rock band TOPS on June 20, electro-pop band Men I Trust on September 19, and another act to be announced for November 21.
