Wormbass Has Released His Latest Song "Sunshine"

As a budding musician during the 1980s, Delroy “Wormbass” Niven studied the classic bass lines that defined reggae. Many of them are from the rocksteady era of the 1960s, which he often emulates.

“Coming up with the melody for Sunshine, it wasn't a challenge because I am a vessel. I truly think the Almighty chose me to do a work so I have to just stay humble and wait for the inspiration,” he said.

Wormbass co-wrote Sunshine with Geddys Ferguson. He and Michael Jacas co-produced the lovers rock track which is his latest venture as a vocalist.

After making his name in the 1990s with the Blaze Band that backed acts like Beenie Man and Sanchez, he became a vocalist on songs like Follow You and Liberation, and Reggaeman, his album which came out in 2016.

“When I listen to previous works that I have done like Reggaeman and the new stuff that I'm doing, I hear a lot of improvement in my vocals. It makes me feel very proud to know that beyond the sky there is no limit,” said Wormbass.
