International Recording Artist Ras Slick Fires up His Summer Festival Season

International recording artist Ras Slick fired up his pipes for the Pepsi Stronger Together World Stage at the 31st Annual Giant National Capital Barbeque Battle. Alongside his Dutty Bus Crew band, the top crooner brought an electrifying brand of Reggae music and vibes to the end of June epic summer celebration of food, music, art and culture.

Notably, Ras Slick was one of several world class entertainment acts billed for the Pepsi Stronger Together World Music Stage.

Festival goers got to experience two days of incredible sights, sounds and the hickory aroma of all things BBQ, while Top Chefs along with BBQ legends competed in a high stakes series of National BBQ Championship Contests. Granted an hour long set, Ras Slick satisfied the crowd's musical appetite, as they grooved in between BBQ indulging.

As the "Banger" singer kick started a new festival season, fans couldn't be happier! With the BBQ Battle sattracting upwards of 125,000 visitors annually, there is no doubt that Ras Slick exponentially increased his stock following this appearance.

Just when you thought things couldn't get hotter, the entertainer recently unleashed his growing festival schedule, which includes a Caribbean American Heritage Month Celebration, the Linganore Winecellars Summer Reggae Fest (Mt. Airy, Maryland) and Jamaica Fest "Link Up"(Silver Spring, Maryland), among others.

Also focused on cooking up some new red-hot music, Ras Slick hinted at a summer release of "Your Body." He says, "Listeners will experience my versatility on this song, which offers a burst of world music." Until then, music lovers can vibe to the singer's vast music catalogue of songs, including "One More Chance," "Zone," "No More Shackles," "Dali Dali," and more or catch the uber talent and Dutty Bus Crew during their residency at Abyssinia, a DMV hot spot.
