'Fools Rush in' is the Second Collaboration Between Michael Eaton and Patrick Junior
Although they are from different countries, producer Michael Eaton and singer Patrick Junior share similar tastes in music. Since their youth in Jamaica and St. Vincent And The Grenadines, they have loved roots-reggae.
Fools Rush In by Patrick Junior is their second collaboration. Produced by Eaton, it was released in January by his Eaton Music label.
“Honestly reasoning, it's a joy to be working with brother Mich
Michael Eatonael Eaton, coz I an’ I have grown to know each other over many years now,” said Patrick Junior. He added that, “Fools Rush In carries a nice vibes, a different style of music with a powerful lyrical content.”
Zion Gate, released in 2024, was the duo’s first song together. They were pleased with that positive energy and agreed to do follow-up singles which materialized with Fools Rush In.
Eaton, who lives in Staten Island, New York, was born in St. Ann parish, Jamaica but raised in the Barbican area of Kingston, the country’s capital. That area was a hotbed for the Rastafarian movement which he embraced during the 1970s.
The Afro-conscious message of his faith resonates through Eaton’s productions.
“What wi try an’ do is look for artists like Patrick Junior who have positive vibes an’ care about what roots-reggae stands for,” he said.
Patrick Junior also lived for many years in New York and has spent time in the United Kingdom which retains a strong roots-reggae following. In 2025, he released Shingle City Forever, his second EP.
Eaton says Fools Rush In is a sign of things to come. The producer has projects by singers Sydney Salmon and Emil Troy in the works for 2026.
