Entries Open for 2021 Jamaica Customer Service Song Competition

The Jamaica Customer Service Song Competition is now accepting online entries for its 2021 Cycle. The competition which is in its 4th year of staging is a proud product of the partnership between the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC)and the Jamaica Customer Service Association (JaCSA), and has quickly become a vibrant highlight of the annual National Customer Service Week each October.

Youth or School based groups who are interested in entering the competition may do so by submitting a video performance of an original song in keeping with the theme to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..Each performance group should have three to five members, and each video entry should be four minutes or less.

“The JCDC is proud to continue the partnership with the JaCSA in staging this youth-centred original song competition. This partnership is to encourage and promulgate the message of good customer service in the country.  We need our youth to have a voice and to be ambassadors among their peers and the society at large to build the social fabric of the nation through customer service transformation,” Said Ms. Elizabeth Smith, Director of Corporate Services at the JCDC.

“As this competition continues to grow each year, so does its impact. We look forward to welcoming entries from both new entrants as well as from our repeat participants and winners. These students enjoy creating and performing their original songs and look forward to spreading the message of good customer service while competing for a chance to win one of our top prizes,” Ms. Smith continued.

Ms. Smith also noted that the winning group will receive a cash prize of $80 000, while second place will receive $50 000 and third place will receive $30 000. The writer of the winning song will also receive a cash prize of $25 000.

Previous winners of the competition include: DF Productions in 2020, Cornwall College in 2019 and Charlemont High in 2018.

The Deadline for entry for the 2021 Jamaica Customer Service Song Competition is Tuesday, September 21 at midnight.
