Derrick Scott Professes His Unyielding Faith in God With 'Deliver Me'

A committed Christian, Derrick Scott is never afraid to express his unyielding faith in God. The singer shows that passion on Deliver Me, his latest song which was released in mid September. He produced the track for his DScott Music label.

It is accompanied by a compelling AI-generated video produced by Richie B Radio Production Services in Jamaica. The message behind the song is simple yet profound.

“What I want people to take away is that God is a faithful God and He never forgets His promise. The message is that God is a deliverer,” said Scott.

The scenic visual complements that message. It shows several persons, including Scott, giving praise to the Most High despite challenging times.

Deliver Me is the first released song by the South Florida-based artist in 2026.

Scott is from Linstead, a market town in rural St. Catherine parish Jamaica that has produced several influential reggae artists. They include Freddie McKay, his older brother; Phyllis Dillon and Joseph Hill of Culture.

After starting on sound systems throughout St. Catherine, Scott answered a higher calling just over 20 years ago while living in the Cayman Islands. He became a Christian and has served the Almighty ever since.

To date, Derrick Scott has released four albums and many singles.
