School Board Vice Chair DR. Steve Gallon III Was Honored to Receive the “GLO” Award at the 5TH Annual Generational Cure Black & White Gala

On Saturday, May 22, 2021 School Board Vice Chair Dr. Steve Gallon III was humbled and honored to receive the “GLO” Award, in honor of Gloria Ford at the 5th Annual Generational Cure Black & White Gala for his unselfish contribution to the learning and lives of our youth over the past three decades. Their mission is to “Uproot the inherited issues of our older generations to cure the prolonged problems in today's youth.” They seek to provide “a beacon for those concealed within a repetitive cycle of dead ends.”

galasemenCEO Charles Williams said, “To the unheralded hero of Generational Cure that has answered our beckoning call, both unselfishly and without compromise. The youth of our community thank you,” when speaking about Dr. Gallon.

"I am honored and humbled to receive this recognition from the Generational Cure Organization," said Dr. Gallon. "Their mission to debunk the notion and derail the destiny of the youth, especially young Black men as one that inevitably leads to prison, poverty, or an early death is to be applauded. I look forward to working with them to continue to stem such tides of illiteracy, self-destruction, and failure in too many communities of color and poverty."
