LIAT Air Targets Budget Travelers With New Advanced Booking Promotion

ST JOHN’S, ANTIGUA – Regional carrier, LIAT Air has launched a new “Early Bird” advanced purchase promotion, aimed at making regional destinations more accessible to price-conscious Caribbean travelers.

laitjSpeaking recently with Observer AM , Tito Thomas, the Sales and Marketing Supervisor, detailed the airline’s strategy to reward passengers who book their flights at least 30 days in advance. 

The promotion offers low fares across the airline’s entire network, with one-way tickets starting as low as US $111 from Antigua to St. Kitts.

According to Thomas, the initiative is designed specifically for leisure travellers, students, and families who have fixed dates for major regional events.

“The airline has already seen a surge in bookings for upcoming highlights such as the St. Kitts Music Festival and Grenada Carnival, he stated.

“In the Caribbean, we are very price sensitive and price conscious,” Thomas said , adding that the goal is to provide reliable service and “excellent value” for those willing to plan ahead. By encouraging early bookings, the airline aims to help passengers avoid the higher costs typically associated with last-minute travel.

The Early Bird fares come with specific structural guidelines to accommodate various types of trips. “While there is a 30-day minimum lead time required to qualify for the discount, there is no minimum stay requirement. However, the promotion does carry a maximum stay limit of one month, making it ideal for those taking extended vacations or visiting family across the islands,” he added.

Regarding changes to bookings, Thomas clarified that while the promotional fares are non-refundable, the airline does allow for rescheduling.

Operating out of its home base here, LIAT AIR it currently serves Dominica, St. Maarten, St. Lucia, the British Virgin Islands , Barbados, Grenada, and Trinidad. 

The network also features dual-airport service in Guyana (Ogle and Georgetown), the Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo and Punta Cana), and Jamaica.
