Led by Jamaica’s Consul General to the Southeast United States Oliver Mair and hosted by Miramar Mayor Wayne Messam, the Jamaica Hi-5 5K serves as a major fundraiser for the Adopt-A-Clinic initiative, which provides support to healthcare facilities across Jamaica.
“More than just a race, the Jamaica Hi-5 5K is a movement,” Mair said. “It’s about bringing people together for a great cause, celebrating our culture, and encouraging healthier lifestyles within our communities.”
Joining Marley as ambassadors this year are dancehall entertainer Spragga Benz and fitness and lifestyle coach Patrice J. White, adding further momentum to a race that has become a marquee health and wellness event in South Florida’s Caribbean community.
Organizers say participants will once again be treated to a vibrant race-day atmosphere, with music along the course provided by DJ Radcliffe and City Rock, helping fuel runners and walkers through the 5K route.
Open to participants of all fitness levels, the timed event begins at 7:00 a.m., with all entrants receiving medals upon completion.
Following the race, participants and supporters will gather for a post-race celebration featuring authentic Jamaican cuisine, reggae music and community fellowship.
Now in its growing tradition, the Jamaica Hi-5 5K has become known not only as a fitness event but as a platform for giving back, with proceeds supporting healthcare needs in Jamaica through the Adopt-A-Clinic programme.
Organizers are anticipating another strong turnout, reflecting sustained community support for both wellness and charitable outreach.
The event is supported by a broad group of sponsors, including Grace Foods USA, Digicel, JN Money Services, Jamaica Tourist Board and others.
Registration is open at jamaicahi5krun.com, with organizers encouraging early sign-ups as space is limited.
