Dominican Athlete Bram Sanderson Involved in Fatal Vehicular Accident in Antigua

ST. JOHNS, Antigua – The Dominica Olympic Committee has confirmed that international athlete Bram Sanderson succumbed to injuries sustained in a vehicular accident in the wee hours of Sunday morning in Antigua.

Dominican athlete, Brams SandersonBrams who was said to be riding a bike with a pillion, crashed into a pickup truck at an intersection on the outskirts of the capital, St. Johns.

His pillion, also Dominican, was rushed to the hospital.

In a statement on its Facebook page, the Olympic Committee said “Sanderson was a national athlete who represented Dominica in multiple sports, including Kayaking and Cycling, at regional and international levels.

“Bram Sanderson will be remembered not just for his passion for sports, but also for his constant positivity and encouragement he offered to everyone he encountered. He will be truly missed by many,” the statement added, while extending condolences to his family and friends.
