GEORGETOWN, Guyana – There were emphatic wins for Barbados, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda when the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre-Qualifiers bounced off here on Wednesday.

Carl Thorpe contributed 13 points, Deroni Hurley had 12 points, and Rasheed Maynard added 10 points in the lopsided victory.
Barbados put the game to bed with a 12-0 run late in the second quarter, which stretched their lead from 31-17 to 43-17, and led by as much as 39 points at one stage.
For the Cayman Islands, Brad Iansdell scored a game-high 19 points, while Shaad O’Garro chipped in with 10 points.
Meanwhile, St Vincent and the Grenadines thumped Grenada 85-66 to get their campaign off to a winning start.
Shad Thomas recorded a double double of 20 points and 10 assists, Chrisford Telesford scored 17 points, while Tyler Fraser and Phillip Lawrence-Ricks both added 13 points.
For Grenada, Kevin Cox had 17 points, Akinde Redhead had 14 and Daniel Regis 10 points.
St Vincent and the Grenadines produced the game’s biggest run in the final quarter, outscoring Grenada 12-0 to turn a six-point lead to a mammoth 69-51 advantage.
Antigua and Barbuda were also comfortable winners, romping to an 82-50 win over Bermuda.
Bermuda jumped out to a fast start, leading after the opening quarter and building a 27-18 advantage early in the second.
However, Antigua & Barbuda flipped the script before halftime, tightening the screws defensively and pulling away for a 32-point margin by the final buzzer.
Jaden Andrew, T-Shawn Lewis and Xavier Spencer scored 14 points apiece for the winners, with Cohen Desouza and Alexis Jackson scoring 10 points.
Malachi Scott was the only double-digit contributor for Bermuda with 14 points.
