BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) says university students and practitioners in the field of data science are invited to participate in its Climate Resilience Data Challenge (CRDC).
The CRDC is a component of the sixth Growth and Resilience Dialogue organized by the ECCB in collaboration with the St. Lucia-based Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Commission, The World Bank and University of the West Indies (UWI).
The 6th Growth and Resilience Dialogue (GRD) will be held April 6-7 under the theme, “Climate Resilience: Securing The Future of Small Island Developing State,” and the ECCB said it will feature “insightful thematic panel discussions” and a data challenge.
”The Challenge provides an ideal opportunity for students and practitioners to showcase a wide variety of data-driven Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and the potential of AI to reveal deep insights from data sets and inform policy and decision making,” the ECCB said.
It noted that individuals who are should in participating in the Challenge have until February 10 to register with the deadline for submissions being March 24.
“The Challenge will culminate with the finalists, selected from the pool of candidates who submitted their entries, pitching their prototypes on 7 April for the opportunity to win the grand prize of US$10,000,” the ECCB added
