GEORGETOWN, Guyana – The Guyana government says it is formalising a national tourism policy and strategic plan as it seeks to strengthen the country’s tourism sector and positioning it for sustainable, long-term growth. The policy is set to be completed later this year.

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett has declared Jamaica’s recovery “resilience in action” after revealing that the island welcomed over one million visitor arrivals and generated US$956 million in foreign exchange earnings in the first quarter of 2026, just five months after the disruption caused by Hurricane Melissa.

Caribbean Airlines Announces Introduction of Fuel Surcharge

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – The state-owned Caribbean Airlines (CAL) Friday  announced the immediate introduction of a fuel surcharge on all tickets saying it is to help offset a portion of rising costs due mainly to the war in the Middle east involving the United States, Israel and Iran that has led to significant increases in oil  and gas prices.
