Trinidad and Tobago PM Reiterates That CARICOM in Need of 'Some Transformation'

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar Friday said that while the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is in “urgent need of some transformation” the twin island republic “attaches great importance to our country’s long standing relationship” with the 15-member regional integration movement, CARICOM.

Guyana’s President Downplays Divisions Within CARICOM

BELMOPAN, Belize – Guyana’s President, Dr. Irfaan Ali Monday aid that differences of opinion within the 15-member regional integration grouping,  CARICOM, should not be viewed as ‘divisive” as he sought to soften the recent impact of differences in the regional integration movement.
