USVI Open for Business

Although still recovering, the U.S. Virgin Islands has come a long way since the two devastating hurricanes that devastated the territory in September 2017. Hurricanes Irma and Maria swept through causing billions of dollars in infrastructural and housing damage and devastation to the three major islands: St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix. But today, the islands are open and ready for business, according to Commissioner of Tourism for the US Virgin Islands, Joseph Boschulte.

Miami-Dade County Partners with MSC Group for Supplies for Residents of the Bahamas Affected by Hurricane Doria

MIAMI —Miami-Dade County and MSC Group, one of the world’s leading container shipping and logistics conglomerates as well as the parent company of MSC Cruises, in collaboration with PortMiami and other maritime partners are assisting the people of The Bahamas with humanitarian aid, including a shipment of over 200 gas generators, tarps, cords, water, canopies and gas cans, among other items of necessity for the victims of Hurricane Dorian.
