Masicka Releases New Single & Music Video “Boasty” Today
Gearing up for a scorching summer, internationally acclaimed dancehall superstar Masicka unleashes a simmering new single and music video entitled “Boasty” out now via Def Jam Recordings.
On “Boasty,” Masicka takes a hard-earned victory lap. Hi-hats accent a smooth and slick beat as he flaunts his signature cadence. The track rides his upbeat flow into the upswing of an undeniable chorus punctuated by fire and flavor. Helmed by director Shane Creative, the accompanying visual channels this energy on-screen. Masicka holds court in a luxurious and lavish mansion as well as at a packed nightclub. Still, he never forgets where he came from. The clip alternates between these moments of celebration and vignettes of the star back where it all began in a small Jamaican town.
With “Boasty,” Masicka looks back on his journey while continuing to push forward, building on his growing global reach.
Plus, it arrives on the heels of the buzzing “Life Of Sin.” Gathering nearly 1 million YouTube views on the official music video, this introspective slow-burn instantly resonated with fans. Not to mention, it garnered looks from the likes of V13, Caribbean Today, and more.
Remaining prolific, “Life Of Sin” landed in the wake of 2025’s Her Name Is Love EP. Thus far, the latter has gathered north of 10 million streams and counting highlighted by “Rich Sex”[with Rvssian]. Right out of the gate, it also received widespread acclaim. Billboard hailed it as “a tender new EP dedicated to the ladies,” and Okayplayer applauded it as “a lighter, more loving atmosphere that still carries the edge that has defined his signature sound. A juxtaposition not previously seen from him until now.” Remixd Magazine christened it “one of the most introspective and intentional projects of his career,” and Live Music Blog noted, “the EP captures Masicka in a reflective space, showing range and maturity while remaining firmly rooted in dancehall’s core.”
Hitting another benchmark, Masicka garnered a nomination for “Best Caribbean Music Act” at the 2026 MOBO Awards aired on March 26th at Co-op Live in Manchester, UK.
Now, Masicka is gearing up for what promises to be his brightest and biggest chapter yet.
