JM Family Donates $100,000 to One America Appeal for Hurricane Maria Disaster Relief Efforts

To aid in the recovery process of destruction caused by Hurricane Maria, JM Family is making a $100,000 donation to One America Appeal, an initiative founded by all five living former presidents: Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter.

The organization, which was originally created to assist victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma, has recently expanded its charity efforts in the wake of Hurricane Maria to benefit those in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

Hurricane Maria, the strongest storm to hit Puerto Rico in more than 80 years, made landfall as a Category 4 on September 20. The storm’s widespread impact destroyed homes and buildings and left millions of people in the Caribbean and Puerto Rico in crisis without power.

JM Family’s contribution is specifically allocated to Hurricane Maria relief, which will support Unidos por Puerto Rico, launched by the office of First Lady Beatriz Rosselló, and the Fund for the Virgin Islands. One hundred percent of every dollar donated goes to hurricane recovery.
Please keep the people of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, especially those in the hardest hit areas, in your thoughts as they work toward rebuilding their island, and their lives.
